What is VisionX?

VisionX is Coventa's AI FDE—an AI Forward Deployed Engineer that understands your business and then executes on it. It is a process coupled with custom-built tooling and governed agent fleets, for delivering software the right way in the AI era. It's our answer to a question most firms haven't asked yet: when AI can execute so quickly, what does good process look like?

How does VisionX differ from Agile or other development frameworks?

The past decade of software delivery was shaped by Agile: sprints, standups, Kanban boards—rituals designed to manage the human bottleneck by breaking work into manageable chunks. But what used to take a team months can now take AI an hour or two. Agile wasn't built for agents.

VisionX is our attempt to address that reality. It asks a different question: When execution becomes commoditized, how do we ensure we're building the right thing? What does VisionX do that AI coding tools don't?

AI coding tools—even very good ones—are good at executing. They produce code quickly. What they can't do is understand your business, challenge your assumptions, identify the friction your team has stopped seeing, or make strategic tradeoffs on your behalf.

VisionX is the harness around those tools. It gives our solution engineers a structured way to understand the full problem space, ideate on strategy with you, and then direct AI execution with clarity and precision. How is VisionX different from hiring a traditional systems integrator?

A global SI staffs the same scope with hundreds of people on time-and-materials, so cost scales with headcount and the incentive runs the wrong way—the longer it takes, the more they bill. VisionX delivers that scope with governed agent fleets and lean expert pods, and we commit to the outcome rather than the hours.

What systems and platforms does VisionX work with?

VisionX is platform-agnostic and spans all four technology estates—ET, OT, IT and BT—under a single SIAM-style service-integrator model, with one accountable owner stitching end-to-end SLAs across every underpinning vendor. In practice that means the enterprise suites you already run (ERP, CRM, ITSM, EHR, HRIS), the plant and industrial control layer, your product and engineering toolchain, plus smaller B2B SaaS, internal tools, and bespoke APIs.

If a system has a console or an API, VisionX can configure and integrate it. You don't have to move onto a proprietary platform to get value.

How does VisionX keep changes safe?

Bounded autonomy is the default. Agents operate inside explicit guardrails with guardian agents supervising, continuous evals running against every change, and an immutable audit trail behind all of it—aligned to ISO 20000/27001, ITIL 4, and SOC 2 controls.

Every change runs as a controlled dry-run preview before it writes to a live system, and there's a deliberate split between what is handled deterministically and where human judgment is required. Approval and rollback stay with your team.

What does it feel like to work through VisionX as a client?

It starts fast. Within the first week, you'll have a working V1 of real software—not a deck, not a set of wireframes. From there, we iterate quickly, bringing your team in for testing and feedback at every stage. Changes are visible almost immediately.
